New Kids in Town...

Alright, so let's just say to the above, that there are none...unless you count the assistant to General Manager Dayton Moore. (lovingly referred to as the GMDM from now on...) So the Phillies leftover assistant general manager (that's a huge-ly long title...), Mike Arbuckle, has now joined the Royals as the "senior adviser to general manager Dayton Moore for scouting and player development", says one of the greatest article writers in the sports world, Bob Dutton from the Kansas City Star.*

* You might be asking yourself right now what in the world this little asterisk is...well, I'm here to tell you I'm not original and I didn't think of this myself. (Credit here goes to Joe Posnanski) Anyway, the asterisk is a wonderful tool to let you know that the writer of an article wants to input a comment of his own that usually has little to do with the post...Moving on to the point of this asterisk...Joe Posnanski and Sam Mellinger are also part of the "greatest article writers in the sports world" group and need to be mentioned. They both have their own blogs here: Joe
and Sam ...

So, we have this new SAfSaPD and upon his hiring, forgot that we didn't have that position open, so we decided to create it, thereby sealing our doom for next year and forecasting a 50 win season...Well...probably not...but honestly, do we need to hire any more people to realize that Kansas City might just be a farm system for the Major Leagues? I don't want to be, but for the past decade+, that's all we've been! We find a good player and then trade him for worse players and trade them for injured players and then trade them for a bag of balls and a burger from 5 Guys Burgers and Fries.*

(Which is absolutely worth the risk there...I think I'd of traded Sweeney and Emil for a 5 Guys burger without the fries...)

So, what's going to happen? All my readers out there need to voice their opinions...All 0 of you right now. :) And about 2 hours ago a story was posted that Teahen might be needed by the Cubbies...tell em we'll take Soriano and Aramis Ramirez for him and see what they say!
