Well, folks (all 0 of you), he's gone...And in his place we have a starting centerfielder. Not much for OBP, but he is a starting center fielder and Joey Gathright doesn't have to start! So, this deal just might be looking really good especially when Ram Ram has a down year over in Boston. True, the Red Sox got rid of some payroll (appx $5.25 million for Crisp and they traded for $300,000 Ramon Ramirez), but they picked up a guy who just 2 seasons ago had a 17 inning/16 ER season that ended with a 8.31 ERA...Well, lets just say that last year was a fluke year for him and he probably won't have the 2.64 ERA that he had last year again.
Good news is Teahen might be going elsewhere and Gathright could be as well. Now, I think we should get rid of both of them because Mitch Maier could handle backup duty when Guillen goes out (because we all know that he will). But second base needs to be filled. Callaspo could do it, Jason Smith can't, but we have 2 players and a burger at 5 Guys Burgers and Fries that just could pull in a 2nd baseman...Who knows?
